The place is super cozy and the standard and the service is always super friendly. I always get the fish tacos and halve more than enough leftovers for lunch the next day.
It's not a fancy place, but it definitely hits the spot when you're looking for cozy mexican food on a Wednesday night.

This is an unusual review for me because while I have been to the West Seattle Puerto Vallarta probably a hundred times, I have had only one dish. The seafood chimichonga. Each and every time. Because it is the best I've ever had! A few points to note:
First, I was on a "quest" for a couple of years to find the best seafood chimichonga around. I tried many places and this, without a doubt, tops the list. The portion is HUGE so I can only eat half of it, but I take the other half home for later. It is packed with tons of shrimp, scallops, and seafood goodies without a lot of "filler." The chimichonga crust is flaky and crisp. Each time I've had it, it is cooked the same, always consistently excellent.
Second, the drinks are always good. I agree with the others, they are stout but hey, it makes me feel like I'm getting my money's worth!

Want a "homey" Mexican dinner experience - comfy booth, huge portions, free chips & salsa, fast service? This is it, my friend.
My guy and I came here on a Friday night and were seated promptly by the window.
I got the two crispy chicken burritos and rice, he got some Mucho Grande thing on a huge circular plate. He was in pain for a few hours and didn't even finish it. :)
*Saw several people picking up take-out orders. So feel free to do so.
*Super-friendly host, server and water-filler made us feel special and welcome.
*The Cadillac margarita was so strong even the man winced. Yee--ahh... pre-funk restaurant anyone?
*The margaritas could be cheaper, and the chicken a little shreddier for my taste, but otherwise deliciousness.
Thanks Puerto Vallarta, I WILL be back soon!!
